An / Terms

Terms.

The shortest version of this we could write that still holds up. Plain language first, legal hooks where they have to be.

Effective: 1 March 2026 Last updated: 1 March 2026

IN SHORT

  • You pay a monthly or yearly fee. We give you An on iOS and Mac, with sync.
  • Your content is yours. Always. Even after you cancel.
  • Cancel anytime. No retention dialogs. No "are you sure" three times.
  • Don't use An to harm others. Don't try to break it. Don't resell it.
  • If something goes wrong, our maximum liability is what you paid us in the last 12 months. Standard. Fair.

01The deal

By installing or using An, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use it — that's a real option, no hard feelings.

An is a service operated by YIYIII (Hangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. ("we," "us"). Throughout this document, "An" means the iOS and macOS apps and any service that goes with them.

02Your account

You sign in with Apple. We never see your password — Apple handles authentication. You're responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure; if someone else gets into it, they get into An too.

One subscription covers all your devices on the same Apple ID. Family Sharing is supported up to 5 family members.

03Subscription, payment, refunds

Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. Cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. The cancel takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no early termination fees, no prorations either way.

Refunds are handled by Apple per their standard policy. We can advocate for you, but we can't issue them directly — that's how the App Store works.

Prices may change with 30 days' notice. If they go up, you can cancel before the change takes effect with no penalty.

04Acceptable use

Don't use An to:

  • harm, harass, or stalk anyone
  • generate or store illegal content (CSAM, threats, fraud)
  • reverse-engineer, scrape, or build derivative services
  • resell or share your subscription outside Family Sharing
  • circumvent rate limits or security mechanisms

If you do, we may suspend your account. We'll always tell you why.

05What's yours, what's ours

Yours: every task you create, every memory you save, every conversation you have. We claim no ownership, no license to train, no right to display, redistribute, or analyze.

Ours: the An app, the priority engine, the design, the name, the logo, the documentation. You can take screenshots and share them — that's normal use, no permission needed.

06Liability, in plain language

We do our best. We test, we audit, we have on-call engineers. But software fails. Data corrupts. Networks blip.

If An fails you in a way that costs you something, our maximum total liability is the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the incident, or US$50, whichever is greater. We don't cover indirect damages — lost profits, lost opportunities, that meeting you missed because the briefing didn't render.

Standard SaaS liability cap. We're not hiding the ball — this is on every product you use.

Treat An as one tool among several. Critical reminders should also live in your calendar.

07Termination

You can stop at any time. Delete the app and your local data goes. Cancel the subscription and the server-side blobs are wiped within 24 hours.

We can terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice and a chance to respond — except for serious violations (illegal content, security attacks) where we act immediately.

If we shut An down entirely, you'll get 90 days' notice and a final export tool — your memories belong with you.

08Law, disputes, and the boring stuff

Mainland China users: governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes go to the People's Court of Shangcheng District, Hangzhou.

Everyone else: governed by the laws of Hong Kong. Disputes go to binding arbitration under the HKIAC rules in English. You can still bring small-claims actions where you live.

If a court strikes down one part of these Terms, the rest still stands. If we don't enforce a right immediately, we haven't given it up.

These Terms, plus the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us. Nothing else applies.
